A Care and Support centre through a 10 bedded hospital at Gopalapuram in the West Godavari District. Initiated with the support of the “Andhra Pradesh State Aids Control Society “.

To acknowledge and address the needs and demands of a socially, culturally and economically stigmatized section of people individuals infected with HIV/AIDS. Fear of the disease and stigma aimed at those infected by household and community members and even healthcare workers, meant that many HIV/AIDS infected people received little or no care and were simply left to die. To address the overwhelming need for Health based care. Through this program 50455 people were benefited and still getting benefitted. The Care & Support (C&S) needs to be transformed from a stand-alone short-stay home to playing a critical role in enabling PLHA to access Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) as well as providing monitoring, follow-up, counselling support to those who are initiated on ART, positive prevention, drug adherence, nutrition counselling etc. The monitoring of PLHA who do not require ART yet (Pre-ART care) will also be a critical function that needs to be carried out by Care & Support (C&S).
